Registration forms are available in the office for students currently enrolled in Instrumental Lessons at TESS. In order for us to serve you better, all New Students should contact the school for further details before enrolling and join our mailing list.

Semester Package Options:

We divide the year into three semesters: Fall Term (19 weeks), Winter Term (19 weeks) and Summer Term (8 weeks). Students may enroll at other times of the year with a pro-rated rate, except for the months of July, August and December. Prices given upon request.

30 Minute Beginners Package*

This package includes a 45 minute group/reading lesson and a 30 minute private lesson as well as all beginning materials except the instrument! There are no additional membership or registration fees. Recitals, rehearsals and all school events are included, including weekly Parent Sessions and Parent Nights.


30 Minute Book 1A Package*

For students who have begun study in a Suzuki program and are currently learning the Twinkles, this package includes a 45 minute group lesson which include the musicianship curriculum (reading/music theory) and a 30 minute private lesson. There are no additional membership or registration fees. Recitals, rehearsals and all school events are included, including weekly Parent Sessions and Parent Nights. New materials after Twinkle and Book 1 graduations are billed separately according to each child's individual progress.


45 Minute Package*

This package is for students who are progressing into the second half of Book 1 and Book 2 and includes a 45 minute private lesson, 30 minute group lesson, and 30 minute musicianship (reading/theory) class. There are no additional membership or registration fees. Recitals, rehearsals and all school events are included, including weekly Parent Sessions and Parent Nights. Beginners older than 6 may wish to start with this longer lesson option and may contact the office for details. Parents of beginners who wish to have their own lesson time should purchase the 45 minute package, so that 30 minutes goes to the child and 15 minutes goes to the parent. 60 Minute Package*

This package is for students who have finished Book 3 or its equivalent and includes a 60 minute private lesson, 30 minute group class, and 30 minute musicianship (theory/composition) class. There are no additional membership or registration fees. Recitals, rehearsals and all school events are included. Some students below Book 4 may wish to select this option to ensure ample time for full development of reading, playing and performance skills. It is recommended that students at this level be prepared to purchase several extra lessons a year to assist with preparation for auditions and other opportunities. Students at this level should also take at least one semester of Piano as a Secondary Instrument for basic keyboard knowledge.


Advanced/HONORS Group Class Elective

TESS has Music Electives such as Chamber Ensembles, Fiddling, Electric Violin, Beginning & Intermediate Theory, Music History, and more! These electives are open to TESS students as part of their tuition and non-TESS students on an a la carte basis. The tuition price varies by class and includes recitals and all school events. There are no additional membership or registration fees.

Secondary Lessons:

TESS students may study a second instrument, such as piano, at greatly reduced tuition rates.

Composition:

45-60 Minute Private Lessons with our Composer in Residence Nick Revel; private study at TESS is not required for composition lessons and we encourage students to remain with their current private teacher.

Monthly Rehearsals with a Piano Accompanist
